Scottie Scheffler Biography
Scottie Scheffler is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour.
Scheffler was born on 21 June 1996 in Ridgewood, New Jersey to Diane and Scott Scheffler.
The family lived in this area until Scottie was aged six, when they moved to Dallas.
Scheffler has three siblings - all sisters - called Callie, Molly and Sara.
His interest in golf began at the age of three years old.
It has been reported that his father bought him a plastic set of golf clubs and balls and the rest - as they say - is history.
The first club Scheffler was involved in was Royal Oaks Golf Club where he was tutored by Randy Smith, who coached 1997 Open winner Justin Leonard.
Scheffler had an outstanding amateur career and was named the Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year in 2015 while attending the University of Texas.
He was also a member of the winning 2017 Walker Cup team, representing the U.S.
Scheffler earned his PGA Tour card in 2019 while playing on the Web.com Tour, now known as the Korn Ferry Tour.
He was named the 2020 PGA Tour Rookie of The Year.
As of November 2022, Scheffler had won four times on the PGA Tour.
Remarkably, all those victories came in the 2021-2022 season when he won the WM Phoenix Open, Arnold Palmer Invitational, WGC Match Play and The Masters at Augusta National.
Scheffler won the 2022 Masters by three strokes over Rory McIlroy.
He had entered the tournament as the World No. 1 having won three times in five starts.
He became the sixth World No. 1 to win The Masters. He was also the sixth player to win on his first PGA Tour start as the best player in the world.
At the conclusion of 2022, Scheffler had earned $22,152,033 on the PGA Tour.
Scheffler is married to Meredith Scudder. The couple tied the knot in 2020 having dated for six years.
The couple met in high school. They are both devout Christians.

Outside of golf, his interests include basketball and table-tennis. His shoe size is 11.5!
