The Open tee times 2026: Round 3 at Royal Birkdale
The Open tee times 2026: Check out the tee times and pairings for moving day at Royal Birkdale.
The Open continues this weekend at Royal Birkdale.
After 36 holes of the final men's major of the year, Australia's Lucas Herbert has a two-shot lead.
The 30-year-old LIV Golf star tore round the Southport links on Friday, carding an eight-under 62 to reach eight-under.
It was a score that saw him equal the lowest-ever round in men's major championship history.
In truth, he probably should have broken the record and the golfer admitted as such after his round, explaining he felt a mixture of pride and disappointment.
He also mentioned that he thought about carding a 62 or lower after only his third hole.
Herbert leads American duo Jackson Suber and Cameron Young by two strokes at the halfway stage.
Suber, 26, has barely played any links golf in his life. In fact, this week represents his first trip to Europe.
Young, meanwhile, is believed to have the pedigree to win a major championship and even played in the final group alongside Rory McIlroy at the 2026 Masters.
The 2026 Players Championship winner is sure to be a big factor this weekend.
Elsewhere, former Open champion Francesco Molinari is nicely positioned.
The 2019 Claret Jug winner is nicely positioned in the top-10 alongside the likes of Robert MacIntyre, Matt Wallace, Thomas Detry, Bryson DeChambeau and Alex Fitzpatrick.
