TopTracer announces largest fan activation ever for The 154th Open
Royal Birkdale will host the largest ever TopTracer fan range, along with brand new tracking allowing fans to track the competitors' range sessions for the first time ever.

Toptracer has become a much-loved fixture at some of the world's largest golf tournaments, but this year's Open Championship promises to be the biggest ever for the golf technology giant.
Taking its tournament offering to the next level at Royal Birkdale, Toptracer, which serves as the official tracking partner for The R&A, will launch its largest ever fan activation at next week's tournament, offering unprecedented insights for fans looking to keep abreast of the action out on the course as well as improve their own game.
"We are hungry and humbled to be the trusted golf technology partner for The R&A at the game’s most historic major championship," says Scott Blevins, President and GM of Toptracer.
"What we have on display for our platform at Royal Birkdale is unprecedented, so we hope the fans take advantage and interact with The Open like never before."
The nerve centre of Toptracer's setup will be the PGA Swing Zone, where fans if all ages and skill lessons can arrive for free 15-minute lessions with PGA Pros, powered by the insights of Toptracer ball tracking technology.
A host of Toptracer golf simulators will also be dotted around the grounds at Royal Birkdale, giving fans the chance to work on their swing and play a virtual rendition of Royal Birkdale over the weekend.

Toptracer will also play an active role in bringing competitor data to fans in attendance and watching along at home. In addition to providing shot data on the global broadcast of the event, Toptracer will also be powering the Tournament Range, giving onsite fans access to live shot data from their favourite players through the Toptracer Go app.
Finally, Toptracer is offering the change for players to flex their muscles virtually at Royal Birkdale for a chance to see it in real life. Players simply need to complete a round on Toptracer's virtual Royal Birkdale course, with the new 15th hole – a 241-yard par 3 – will serving as the home of a nearest-to-the-pin challenge. The winner will receive two tickets to the final round of The 155th Open at St Andrews, along with the opportunity to play the iconic Old Course the following day.
