BMW Championship First Round Tee Times: Scottie Scheffler joins Rory McIlroy in the marquee pairing of round one in the PGA Tour's penultimate event of the FedEx Cup season.
Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy will join each other for the first two rounds of the BMW Championship at Caves Valley GC in Maryland. GolfMagic has listed the full first round tee times at the BMW Championship in this article.
Scheffler is the current FedEx Cup leader having won four times this season, including two major titles at the US PGA and The Open.
The runaway World No.1 is also looking to become the first player to successfully defend the FedEx Cup.
Standing in his way is record three-time FedEx Cup champion McIlroy, who has won three times this season, highlighted by an emotional Masters victory that saw him become just sixth player in history to complete the career grand slam.
That is something Scheffler will have a chance to do next season at the US Open, where the final round falls on his 30th birthday.
But back to this week and Scheffler and McIlroy are out together for the first two rounds at the BMW Championship.
The field was supposed to be just 50 players, but Sepp Straka has been forced to WD so the field is down to 49.
Scheffler's caddie Ted Scott also remains out of action due to a private family matter.
He's been replaced by Chris Kirk's caddie, Mike Cromie.
Scheffler has won all 17 of his PGA Tour titles with Scott on the bag.
McIlroy is making his first start since finishing top 10 at his home Open Championship at Royal Portrush last month.
He was the only eligible player that chose to skip last week's FedEx St Jude Championship, and it was potentially a good decision given he remains in second place behind Scheffler in the FedEx Cup race.
The top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings after the final round this week will advance to the 30-man Tour Championship at East Lake next week, which will determine the fate of the FedEx Cup.

Scheffler and McIlroy tee off at 11.16am local time.
Other interesting pairings include Justin Thomas with Tommy Fleetwood, Ludvig Aberg with Cameron Young, and Justin Rose with JJ Spaun, which is of course a repeat of their playoff tussle at the FedEx St Jude on Sunday.
All groups will tee off the 1st.
