Genesis Scottish Open Golf Betting Tips
Genesis Scottish Open Golf Betting Tips: check out the latest PGA Tour picks from GolfMagic Editor and expert tipster Andy Roberts.
The PGA Tour and DP World Tour combines this week for the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, and there's plenty of great value to be found.
Scottie Scheffler heads the betting market at relatively short odds of 4/1, but I'm prepared to look elsewhere in the penultimate event before the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush.

Right, let's give you my three picks...

Outright Win Pick:
Best Price Available:
15/2
Last 3 starts on PGA Tour:
MC - 19 - 6
Past results at Scottish Open:
MC - 1 - 4
Rory McIlroy seemingly once didn't appear much of a fan of the Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club, but he's proven the past two seasons that he actually does quite fancy it after all.
McIlroy arrives at the Genesis Scottish Open with a few questions to answer about the state of his game heading into next week's 153rd Open on his home turf of Royal Portrush, but after several weeks of much-needed rest I think he could very well come out firing on the links.
The Northern Irishman arrives in North Berwick off the back of a missed cut, a 19th and sixth place finish on Tour, but if truth be told he has just not looked like his Masters-winning best in April. Some much-needed rest and some down time with his wife Erica and daughter Poppy should have done him a world of good as he enters July.
While I did of course consider tournament favourite Scheffler, I do feel the World No.1's odds of 4/1 on a links test is pretty skinny. I'm still yet to be fully convinced that Scheffler fancies links golf, too. He is of course the best player in the world by some considerable margin, but at the price differences this week, I'm certainly prepared to take the much better value on McIlroy at 15/2, especially given there are no question marks about his ability to play well on the links, or at The Renaissance Club.
McIlroy won this tournament in 2023 and came close to defending last season with a solid fourth place finish.
I can see McIlroy turning up with his A-game this week and then being installed by the bookies as the new favourite to win The Open next week.
If you fancy the current double on offer for McIlroy to win the Scottish Open and The Open, you can get a fairly tasty 75/1 with some firms.
If McIlroy wins the Scottish Open this week, he would easily be cut down to about 4 or 5/1 to win The Open.

My next pick is without doubt Tommy Fleetwood, who let's be honest should have won his first PGA Tour title last time out at the Travelers Championship.
It wasn't to be though, but after two weeks rest I think Fleetwood can answer some critics and finally get over the line this week.
The Englishman's swing is made for links golf, with his three-quarter follow-through perfect for controlling his ball in the breeze.
Fleetwood is playing some really solid stuff at the moment, and I can see him going very close at odds of 20/1.
He's had two top-six finishes here the last three years, and he of course lost in a playoff to Aaron Rai here back in 2020.
Back then, it wasn't a PGA Tour event.
This week marks Fleetwood's 160th appearance on the PGA Tour, and I think it's about time he made it a winning one.
The Renaissance Club suits him down the ground.

For my final pick, I think it makes sense to select The Renaissance Club course specialist Robert MacIntyre.
The popular Scot arrives on home turf this week off the back of some fantastic form that very nearly saw him win a first major at the US Open last month.
He's got some good recent form in the book, but more pleasing some incredible course form with a second and first the last two seasons at the Genesis Scottish Open.
MacIntyre may have received a huge break in the rough en route to victory 12 months ago, but sometimes you ride your luck when you win.
I think the 25/1 on offer for MacIntyre this week could look a big price come Sunday.
