The 2026 John Deere Classic continues this weekend.

After two rounds, America's Lucas Glover holds a two-shot lead over his compatriot Lee Hodges.

The 46-year-old, who is chasing his first PGA Tour title since the summer of 2023, is being chased by several players who are well within striking distance of the lead.

Zachary Blair is in solo third on 11-under, whilst a group of six players are a further stroke back.

Max Homa, Chris Gotterup and former U.S. Ryder Cup captain and two-time major champion, Zach Johnson, are also well positioned at the halfway stage.

At the other end of the leaderboard, some notables made their way home.

Chief among them is Jackson Koivun, 21, who made his first start since turning professional.

Koivun, who joined the PGA Tour after having one of the most decorated amateur careers in history, did not have an enjoyable week.

Rounds of 73 and 70 sent him home, with the golfer struggling massively on the greens.

He ranked in the bottom 30 in the strokes gained putting department this week.

Sudarshan Yellamaraju is a name only the most ardent of golf fan might've been familiar with before the season began.

But the Canadian rookie has impressed massively this year, only missing five cuts from 19 starts.

Daniel Berger has had a torrid time with injuries in recent years but it looked as though the American had put them firmly in the past when he pushed Akshay Bhatia all the way at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.

But since then the former U.S. Ryder Cup star hasn't kicked on, missing five cuts from nine starts.

Like Koivun, Luke Clanton was expected to hit the ground running after turning professional but his first two years on the PGA Tour haven't gone to plan, with the youngster now missing the cut in 13 of 32 starts.

Elsewhere, the struggles continue for South Africa's Aldrich Potgieter, who has made the cut in just 10 of 19 starts since winning the Rocket Classic last summer.

Webb Simpson, who was once as high as fourth in the Official World Golf Ranking, is now 476th. He made his first start since May at TPC Deere Run but missed the cut by one.
