PGA Tour or LIV?! Golfers reveal where they'd rather watch Anthony Kim

Anthony Kim is reportedly plotting a return nearly a decade after hitting a shot on the PGA Tour.

It has been claimed golf's yeti - now 38 years old - feels the time is right to make his big comeback.

The 2008 U.S. Ryder Cup star walked away from the game at the age of 26 after allegedly cashing in on an insurance policy worth $10m after struggling with numerous injuries.

Over the years his legend has grown. Infrequent sightings have led to speculation he was on the cusp of returning but nothing ever materialised.

Until now?!

Kim has reportedly been increasing the intensity of his workouts and playing more and more golf.

A report by GOLF's Dylan Dethier claimed Kim has spoken to PGA Tour officials about returning, engaged LIV over a potential deal and reached out to potential sponsors.

It would be a remarkable story if true and no doubt boost ratings for wherever he lands. The initial intrigue would be enormous.

Our most recent poll on X showed some interesting results of where golf fans would rather watch Kim play:

The PGA Tour route...

If Kim wanted to return to the PGA Tour he could do so immediately given he has 'past champion' status.

Kim won three times on the PGA Tour between 2006-2012.

He would likely be offered some sponsor exemptions outside of the signature events given the buzz that he would create.

Per the terms of the Tour, he would be able to accept unlimited exemptions this year.

Another draw for Kim is the fact he might be able to make some more money through the Player Impact Program (PIP).

The PIP - largely seen as a social media popularity contest to keep the top players happy - has been won twice by Tiger Woods and once by Rory McIlroy

The LIV Golf route...

At the time of writing there has been speculation that Kim was never approached directly by LIV.

It has been reported it was in fact Kim who reached out to LIV representatives, sending in swing videos to demonstrate he is 'ready to go'.

According to Dethier's report, Kim has had a ringing endorsement by Dustin Johnson about his potential value.

This led Greg Norman reaching out to Kim directly. Kim is said to have been offered a one-year deal with LIV.

The up-front offer is said to be enough to cover his insurance policy and he would be offered a spot in all 14 of LIV's 2024 events.

Kim would likely not join a team but instead be in each field as one of two 'wildcards' as an individual.

The other option?

Of course, Kim could continue to live in the wilderness. Lurking in the shadows.

But nobody wants that.

Right?!
