The PGA Tour's caddie carousel has taken another turn ahead of the Memorial Tournament, with Billy Horschel, Tony Finau, Max Homa and Sahith Theegala all involved in fresh changes on the bag at Muirfield Village.

As first reported by Golfweek, Horschel has ended his latest partnership with Micah Fugitt and will work with veteran caddie James Edmondson on a trial basis over the coming weeks.

The eight-time PGA Tour winner has struggled to build momentum since returning from hip surgery and currently sits 94th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Horschel's only top-10 finish of the season came at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, while he has missed the cut in two of his last three starts.

This week's Memorial Tournament could provide the ideal setting for a turnaround. Horschel won Jack Nicklaus' event in 2022 and arrives at Muirfield Village on a sponsor's exemption looking to reignite his campaign.

Despite the split, Horschel indicated the door remains open for a future reunion with Fugitt, who previously helped guide him to FedEx Cup glory in 2014.

"We are going to take a break for right now," Horschel told Golfweek

"That doesn't mean I may not work with Micah again. In a couple of months' time I may want him back on the bag."

For now, Horschel will team up with Edmondson, who has previously worked with Ryan Palmer and most recently carried the bag for Brice Garnett at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Elsewhere, Tony Finau has reunited with Giff Nielsen after a brief spell working with John Ellis.

Ellis only joined Finau's team at the RBC Heritage in April following his split from Wyndham Clark, but the partnership lasted just a handful of starts.

Finau's best result during that period was a tie for sixth at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson before missing the cut at last week's Charles Schwab Challenge.

The move has opened the door for Ellis to take up a new role with Max Homa, who recently parted ways with Lance Bennett and used a friend as a temporary replacement at Colonial.

Ellis is widely regarded as one of the most experienced caddies on Tour, having spent eight years alongside Clark.

The pair celebrated three PGA Tour victories together, including the 2023 U.S. Open, before ending their successful partnership earlier this season.

In another notable development, Sahith Theegala will have regular caddie Carl Smith back on the bag this week after Smith missed the Charles Schwab Challenge.

With the PGA Tour entering one of the busiest stretches of the season, several players appear willing to make significant changes behind the scenes as they search for improved form heading into the summer.
