RBC Heritage Final Round Tee Times: Scheffler sets up Sunday showdown with leader Fitzpatrick

Matt Fitzpatrick overcame a front-nine wobble during Saturday's third round to power into a three-shot lead with 18 holes to play at the RBC Heritage. 

The 31-year-old Englishman went out in a lethargic one-over 37, but he then raced clear of the chasing pack with birdies on 12 and 14 before adding a delightful chip-in eagle on 15. 

Fitzpatrick signed for a three-under 68 to move to 17-under par for the tournament.

He now takes a three-shot lead into the final round over world number one Scottie Scheffler, who vaulted into contention with a brilliant 64. 

Sepp Straka, Brian Harman and Si Woo Kim round out the top five on 13-under par. 

Fitzpatrick is not only seeking a second victory in this tournament, but also a second win in his last three starts on the PGA Tour this season.

Scheffler is also looking for a second RBC Heritage title and his second title of 2026.

The famous Heritage tournament means a lot to Fitzpatrick as he used to regularly visit Harbour Town Golf Links during the holidays with his family.

Fitzpatrick uses a Harbour Town Golf Links headcover on his driver to reflect his admiration of the venue on Hilton Head Island. 

The course last year underwent renovation by course designer and former PGA Tour pro Davis Love III.

It meant Fitzpatrick's 63 on Friday was considered a new course record by the PGA Tour, something on-course announcer John Maginnes considered was "disrespectful" to the three players down the years who shot 61 at the venue. 

Former Open champion Harman matched the feat with his own 63 on Saturday. 

It was a third round to forget for Viktor Hovland, who started the day one shot behind Fitzpatrick only to finish it six shots adrift after a disappointing two-over 73.
