Keep up to date with the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club.

The Genesis Scottish Open is the third Rolex Series event of the season with a total prize purse of $8million.

American Xander Schauffele led by two shots over Spain's Rafael Cabrera-Bello going into the final round in East Lothian.

Jordan Spieth started the final round in contention, alongside American Ryan Palmer and England's Jordan Smith.

This is the last tournament ahead of the landmark, 150th Open at St Andrews.

LIV Golf players are in the field after Ian Poulter won a legal challenge to play after the DP World Tour fined and suspended the defectors.

Schauffele was stressed out...

"It's extra special," Schauffele told Sky Sports.

The American admitted that his back nine was extra stressful but he's thrilled to win his first ever Rolex Series event.

Schauffele picks up $1.4million for his efforts, too.

Some way to head into The Open.

That will conclude our coverage today. We hope you enjoyed joining us.

Xander Schauffele wins Genesis Scottish Open

Xander Schauffele opts for a bump and run just off the green at 18.

And he plays a beauty.

Watching from the stands, Kurt Kitayama knows that's it.

He has eight feet for a par to win by two.

His par putt drifts by the right edge...

But he doesn't care one bit. He takes the win by one stroke.

That's his third win in four weeks.

A classy performance by Schauffele.

19:50
Short left at 18 for Schauffele

Xander Schauffele's approach from roughly 250 yards is short and left.

That's just fine though. Three from there will be good enough.

It was a round that almost got away from him but his talent and class on the back nine has shone through.

He receives a warm reception as he walks up to the green...

19:47
Bogey finish for Spieth

Jordan Spieth finishes with a bogey and posts a 2-over par 72.

It was a frustrating back nine for Spieth. Three bogeys and a double bogey will do it for you.

Still, it's fair to say that he's going into The Open with some confidence.

19:41
Schauffele with a clutch putt at 17

Rafa Cabrera-Bello started the day at 5-under par but his score his now 2-over.

It's been a day for the Spaniard...

Still, he finds a par at 17 with a nice putt as Xander Schauffele stalks the hole.

It's a difficult putt to read. His shadow is in the way. It's got his attention, it certainly has ours.

Schauffele digs deep, though, and finds the centre of the cup.

Phenomenal putt.

Two shot lead with one hole left.

He has an iron for safety off the tee at 18...

19:37
Schauffele takes a drop at 17...

Xander Schauffele's tee shot at the par-3 17th has a bit too much juice on it and his golf ball nestles up against the grandstand.

He has a stroke of good fortune as the free drop takes him away from the downslope.

It's a relatively straightforward shot now. He opts for his trusty putter but he races it by!

Work to do...

19:33
Here's that clutch putt by Schauffele...
19:29
Schauffele moves two clear, two to play..

Xander Schauffele increases his lead to two shots with two holes left.

His eagle effort from 32 feet stops a few feet short and it's a stress free birdie for the American.

If ever you want a cushion with a couple of holes left, it's at The Renaissance.

The sun is setting here in East Lothian and it looks incredible.

It's been a brilliant week. Will we see another twist?

Meanwhile Matthew Fitzpatrick posts 70 and finishes on 3-under par.

Another good showing by the Englishman.

19:21
Sensational from Schauffele

Xander Schauffele hits a magnificent high draw with his tee shot at the par-5 15th.

His approach was just as good. Another raking draw right into the heart of the green to set up an eagle opportunity.

That sound you heard might just be Schauffele slamming the door shut on this thing.

19:18
Tough back nine for Max Homa

Max Homa was in the mix not so long ago, but he's played the back nine in 4-over par.

He posts 1-under for the tournament.

Still, a decent week by a great competitor by a player who is going places.

19:09
Pain at the 72nd for Kim...

The 18th at Renaissance Club is the toughest hole for a reason.

Kim did extremely well to find the green in two shots but he still had some 61 feet to navigate.

His birdie effort was good and it left him about five or six feet for his par.

But his putt drifted by the right edge and he drops a shot.

That 67 was still good enough to see him finish at 5-under for the tournament.

Still, great week for the 20-year-old.

And he's earned a spot at The Open.

Meanwhile, Schauffele ticks another hole off with a safe par at 15.

Leader by one...

19:02
Here's that Kim birdie...
19:01
Spieth's race is well and truly run

Jordan Spieth has completely collapsed here.

He's followed a double bogey with another bogey and drops back to 2-under par.

Grim.

Still, good signs for Spieth ahead of The Open.

18:59
Schauffele takes control...

Xander Schauffele moves back into the outright lead at 7-under.

He drains a 15-foot putt for birdie at No. 14.

His caddie Austin gives it a massive fist pump as the ball finds the centre of the cup.

He's got a par-5 in two holes' time.

That's a huge, huge moment.

Advantage Schauffele?

Meanwhile, Kim sends his approach from 221 yards at his 72nd just to the front of the green...

18:53
Three-way tie for the lead...

How about this from Joohyung Kim?

The 20-year-old finds a birdie at 16 and now 17 to tie Schauffele and Kitayama at 6-under.

He has not made a bogey today. That's his fifth birdie of the day.

One hole left.

You never know...

18:47
Spieth's race is run?

Jordan Spieth. Double bogey. At 14.

Pain. So much pain.

What has happened there?! He has worked so hard today but at the par-3 his tee shot found the deep, deep rough. He hacked it out onto the green and had a giant putt for par.

He raced that by, then missed the 12-footer coming back.

Spieth drops to 3-under.

Surely that is it for the American?!

18:44
Here comes J.H. Kim

Joohyung Kim has quietly played himself into contention here.

He's now at 5-under, one back from Kitayama's lead.

He's got two holes left to play...

And Jordan Spieth is in MAJOR trouble at 14...

18:40
Kitayama shoots 66, posts 6-under

Such an impressive round by Kurt Kitayama.

Six birdies, two bogeys. A 4-under 66 to safely get into the clubhouse at 6-under.

Oh, and he's guaranteed himself a spot at The Open

18:38
Spieth grabs a birdie, now one back...

You live and breath every shot with Jordan Spieth.

It's been such a grind today but he's forced himself back into the picture with a birdie at No. 13.

His approach was beautiful and he only had four feet for birdie.

I still think Xander Schauffele is favourite here...

18:25
You can't take your eyes off this..

Our leader Kitayama hits a dreadful tee shot at the par-3 17th and is over by the grandstand playing his second.

He almost makes a two with his flop shot as his golf ball hits the pin, but it's got too much pace.

It rolls by far more than he'd have liked and it's left him more than 10 feet for par.

Meanwhile, Tommy Fleetwood drops a shot at the 18th and posts 4-under.

And it's agony for Kitayama, as his par attempt drifts by the left edge.

He and Schauffele now share the lead at 6-under par.

17:59
It's tight at the top, who you got?
17:55
Fore right Xander...

Schauffele hits his tee shot at the par-5 10th right of right.

I mean that thing was just so far right.

He's all at sea here...

As I type this, Fitzpatrick continues his theme of dropping a shot after making birdie.

His par putt at No. 11 does a complete 360!

17:51
Kitayama takes the solo lead...

Schauffele slips to 1-over par for the day and now sits in second place with Kurt Kitayama holding the lead all by himself.

That's three bogeys in four holes for Schauffele. Yikes.

Kitayama, 29, has won twice before on the European Tour but never on the PGA Tour.

Some day to pick up your first win and get a starting berth at The Open

Still a long way to go, mind..

17:47
What happened to the elite players this week?

We had a star-studded field here in East Lothian, with 14 of the world's top 15 golfers pegging it up.

It's not been the ideal preparation for some of the "bigger names".

Viktor Hovland, Will Zalatoris, Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa all missed the cut.

Jon Rahm currently sits T-55th after finishing up 5-over par for the tournament.

Australian Cameron Smith, the World No. 6, is currently 16th at 2-under par.

Interesting stuff...

17:41
How it all stands...

Kitayama -7 (14)

Schauffele -7 (8)

Fleetwood -5 (15)

Homa -5 (11)

Spieth -5 (9)

Cantlay -4 (15)
