Tiger Woods will have Lance Bennett on his bag for the 2024 Masters Tournament.

Woods, 48, will return to competitive action at Augusta National for the first time since he was forced to withdraw from the Genesis Invitational in February.

The 15-time major champion cited illness rather than injury for his latest WD at Riviera.

Woods had Bennett on his bag for the first-ever time that week.

Who is Tiger Woods' new caddie Lance Bennett?

Lance Bennett had been best known for caddying for Matt Kuchar

Bennett was on his bag when Kuchar won the 2012 Players Championship.

He has also caddied for the likes of Sungjae Im and Davis Riley on the PGA Tour, as well as Juli Inkster, Paula Creamer and Lorena Ochoa on the LPGA Tour.

Bennett has most recently been working full-time for rising Belgian pro Adrien Dumont de Chassart.

Dumont de Chassart and Woods are managed by the same agency and the Belgian wasn't in the field for the Genesis Invitational, hence why Bennett was able to switch bags.

The same scenario applies at The Masters.

Woods said of Bennett ahead of the Genesis Invitational earlier this season:

"As far as Lance is concerned, I've had a great relationship with him over the years going back to when he caddied for Kuch [Matt Kuchar] and when we played at the Presidents Cup together back in, what, Muirfield Village. In all the years that we've been on Ryder Cups and Presidents Cups together and the times I've been able to play with him in the same groups. [He is] very down to earth, very loyal and how he conversated through the years, I've also taken notice of that. We've had the same type of feels in how we look at the golf course and how we read putts, they're very similar."

Rory McIlroy's former agent Chubby Chandler had some strong words about Woods on the eve of The Masters.
