Dartmouth Golf & Country Club review
Dartmouth Golf & Country Club - Championship Course

I've been making the long-haul drive to Dartmouth Golf & Country Club every season now for the best part of five years. Testament to just how much I enjoy this place.

Everything from Championship Course to comfortable hotel surroundings ooze a sense of class. In fact I can pretty much guarantee every time I return to Totnes that this course will feature the same perfectly manicured fairways, greens and bunkering that I remember. My experience this summer was no different.

Dartmouth G&CC is always in good condition and, after playing it, I can assure you that you will want to return. Although you might not feel like that to begin with as you set sail around this Devon track.

Once you've cleared two relatively simple opening par-4s, it's onto the do-or-die par-3 third across the water, played from an elevated tee box, shortly before one of the toughest par-5s you will ever play at the fourth.

The Jeremy-Pern designed course is a Par-72 and measaures 7,200 yards from the back tees.
