8. East Lothian Golf Range

East Lothian is slightly further away from the centre of Edinburgh than some others on this list, but we think it is worth the extra mile. There are 24 elevated, sheltered, floodlit bays, allowing golfers to track their ball flights more easily. It is also right next to the A1 and just a few hundred metres from Prestonpans train station, making it very easily accessible.

Turnhouse is situated next to Edinburgh Airport, southwest of the city centre. The club has a large practice area (over 300 yards long) with targets to aim for, two short game areas with six practice bunkers, and three putting greens including one USGA specification green.
