1. Nottingham City Golf Club

Nottingham City Golf Club, which first opened in 1910, is set in 100 acres of Nottinghamshire parkland. Work on new landscaping began in 2012 and is due to be completed in August 2013. It's a par 69, 6,206 yards off the white tees. The course won't blow you away, but who can complain for £10?

4. The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club

The Nottinghamshire is one of the finest golf clubs in the area, boasting two 18-hole courses: the Open Course and the Masters Course. In 1997 Peter Alliss designed nine new holes for the Masters course to bring it up to an 18-hole layout, while the Open course has just had more water added with a new lake coming into play on the 18th and 14th holes.

6. Chilwell Manor Golf Club
