#3 - THE GOLF BAG DRILL
Use a stand golf bag, or an alignment stick, and place it behind you.
The goal is to make a backswing that is equal to or higher than the approximate 45 degree angle of the golf bag.
Next, match the downswing to the angle of the golf bag. The golf bag nearly matches the shaft plane at address.
When the club head travels down the shaft plane the club is in the slot as it approaches the golf ball.
An "over the top" swing approaches the ball from a much steeper angle and above the top line of the bag.
