Titleist welcomed golfers of all ages and abilities onto the driving range at the BMW PGA Championship last month, as The Ultimate Fit returned to Wentworth Club for the second year running.

A unique joint-venture with the European Tour, which invited entries via the MyEuropeanTour platform, the fitting experience allowed golfers inside the ropes alongside the stars of world golf on Saturday and Sunday of the flagship event and first Rolex Series event of 2018.

Each winner spent time with Titleist’s team of product specialists alongside Titleist brand ambassadors such as Ian Poulter and Rafa Cabrera-Bello, and had the chance to trial the 917 metals family, 718 irons and 818 hybrids, as well as the newly-launched SM7 Vokey wedges.

The winners were also taken through a golf ball fitting to find out which of Titleist’s golf ball models best suited their game and given a day-pass for either Saturday or Sunday to watch all of the BMW PGA action unfold.

Chris Beaumont, Titleist Golf Club marketing manager said: “Last year we welcomed 112 fans onto the driving range during some of the European Tour’s premier events, including the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

“It was an absolute pleasure to partner with the European Tour and afford golf fans this truly one of a kind experience. To be able to return with our unique initiative to the BMW PGA Championship in 2018 and meet with even more golf fans has been a lot of fun and we know that it is an experience that will live long in the memory, as well as helping their golf games.”

Jamie Birkmyre, Championship director of the BMW PGA Championship, said: “Reflecting on the success of the inaugural Ultimate Fit at last year’s BMW PGA Championship, it was clear that in order to continue raising the bar on the spectator experience we deliver, the initiative in partnership with Titleist should continue.

“I’m thrilled to be able to say that this year’s event was as impressive as the first, providing these golfers with a unique story to tell about their time at Wentworth in 2018 over the years to come.”

Titleist's Ultimate Fit series will continue at the BMW International Open, HNA Open de France, Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Hosted by The Rory Foundation, Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open, British Masters supported by Sky Sports and the Race to Dubai season finale, the DP World Tour Championship.
