Best Budget Golf Shoes 2026

Golf shoes are getting increasingly expensive as the years pass by. With competition as fierce as ever and the technological arms race continuing unabated, the best golf shoes now routinely exceed £150, putting them well out of the reach of everyday golfers.

For newer golfers and players on a budget, those price tags are simply prohibitive. Thankfully however, with more young and new players picking up the game, the big brands have had to adjust by offering more accessibly-priced shoes that still deliver the performance required of a discerning golfer.

As such, we thought it right to round up some of our favourite shoes offering a combination of solid looks, great comfort and excellent stability at the best possible price point, starting with our favourites right now.

adidas MC70

RRP: £120 (Spiked), £110 (Spiked)

Key Features:

  • Full-length Lightstrike midsole foam for responsive comfort
  • TORSION bar in the midfoot adds lateral stability
  • Full-grain leather upper
  • Replaceable spikes or spikeless upper options for optimal grip

New for 2026 and modelled after the traditionally-styled MC80 is the adidas MC70, which despite being slightly cheaper still effectively harnesses the 'classic look, modern performance' mentality that made the MC80 so popular.

Perfectly timed to hit the market at a time when classically-styled shoes are roaring back into vogue, the MC70 retains the MC80's full-grain leather upper, offering a choice of spiked (£120) or spikeless (£110) traction platforms, the latter of which is made from cast polyurethane for added traction, stability and durability, and comes with the option of a BOA lacing system, and is actually the debut shoe on which BOA's new, minimalist L6 Dial U system is used.

The full-length Boost midsole MC80 found on the MC80 makes way for a more responsive LightStrike foam, capped off with a Boost insert in the heel for a pop of added comfort, the two working in tandem to create a ride that's responsive, just soft enough and remarkably stable. Both are equipped with adidas'sTORSION bar in the mid foot, which reduces lateral twisting to enhance stability while walking and swinging.

adidas Adipower

Price: £120 (Spiked), £110 (Spikeless)

Key Features:

  • REPETITOR midsole foam delivers a comfortable ride with plenty of stability
  • Heel pad for added comfort and adjustable fit
  • TPU POWER PLANE follows the golfer’s weight path through the golf swing to provide stabilty, grip and durability
  • THINTECH MAX Cleats on spiked model with ADIWEAR rubber outsole platform
  • Waterproof genuine leather upper

New for the 2026 season, the adidas Adipower model aims to deliver all the performance hallmarks of the Three Stripes' high-performance shoes without the elevated price tag, providing a comfortable, stable ride in an athletic sillhouette with premium touches.

Available in both a spiked and spikeless variant, the Adipower features the debut of Adidas's REPETITOR foam in a golf product, derived from the brand's running and tennis shoes, and delivers a fairly stable, responsive ride underfoot that's cushioned enough to keep you going for a full 18 holes.

Underneath this, a TPU POWER PLANE outsole shank stretches from the lateral forefoot to the medial heel not only to provide more traction and durability in the areas of the highest wear underfoot, but stabilise the underside of the foot for greater power.

Yet despite this, thanks to considered touches like the genuine leather upper and adjustable heel pad, the adipower has that slightly more premium air over its rivals at this price point.

Put together, we think that makes for one of golf's most compelling value propositions, and if there's a more fully-featured golf shoe out there for the same price as the Adipower right now, we're yet to see it.

Sure, they're not the sexiest things in the world. But if you still have to operate within a slightly tighter budget but still want to feel all the trappings of a truly premium shoe, the adidas Adipower will prove a perfect fit for your needs.
