The best women's golf shoes for 2026

adidas MC70
RRP: £110
Spiked/spikeless: Spikeless
Key Features:
- Full-grain leather upper
- Lightstrike foam midsole with Boost heel insert for responsive comfort
- Spikeless Traxion outsole for ultimate grip
- Midfoot torsion bar adds stability in the swing
New for 2026 and modelled after the traditionally-styled MC80 is the adidas MC70, which despite being slightly cheaper still effectively harnesses the 'classic look, modern performance' mentality that made the MC80 so popular.
Perfectly timed to hit the market at a time when classically-styled shoes are roaring back into vogue, the MC70 retains the MC80's full-grain leather upper, with a spikeless Traxion platform providing some of the best grip we've experienced from a non-spiked shoe.
The full-length Boost midsole MC80 found on the MC80 makes way for a more responsive LightStrike foam, capped off with a Boost insert in the heel for a pop of added comfort, the two working in tandem to create a ride that's responsive, just soft enough and remarkably stable. It's also equipped with adidas's TORSION bar in the mid foot, which reduces lateral twisting to enhance stability while walking and swinging.

FootJoy Premiere Series
RRP: £160
Spiked/spikeless: Spiked
Key Features:
- OrthoLite EcoPlush Fit-Bed: delivers long-lasting on course comfort
- VersaTrax+ outsole: provides unbeatable traction on a wide variety of ground conditions
- Premium full-grain leather construction: soft, supple, stylish and waterproof
In many ways, FootJoy's Premiere Series is the quintessential golf shoe. No silhouette released since its introduction has gone quite so far in encapsulating the very essence of classic golf cleats. It's been aped time and time again over the decades, but never really duplicated.
In 2026, however, the Premiere Series finds itself competing for space in an increasingly crowded market of shoes taking big swathes of its classic DNA and updating it to better suit the needs of a modern golfer with lighter materials and more advanced cushioning.
There have, however, been a number of adjustments made under the hood to make the Premiere a little more user-friendly. Most notable is an overhaul to the traction system, with an ARCTrax Outsole replacing the former model's VersaTrax blade pattern. This is bolstered further with replaceable SoftSpikes Pulsar LP cleats.
The new Premiere is significantly lighter than its predecessor as a result, which is great news for players previously put off by its traditionally heftier profile.
While the new Premiere has received some welcome upgrades to bring it slightly more into 2026, the core DNA that has made it so enduringly popular over the years remains unchanged, meaning it'll remain a popular choice among a sizeable, yet particular, strain of player.

G/FORE's Gallivan2r shoes blend a traditional silhouette with modern, fashion-forward updates to meet the most exacting needs of contemporary golfers.

The auxetic lattice midsole, combined with a foam cushion footbed that has massaging nodules, still makes for one of the most comfortable rides in the golf market, while the waterproof upper keeps its look over time while remaining practical. The G/POD spike system, while fixed, also offers great traction.

The best athletic-look women's golf shoes

adidas CODECHAOS 27
RRP: £120
Spiked/spikeless: Spikeless
Key Features:
- Waterproof TWISTSKIN synthetic upper
- Full-length BOOST midsole provides cushioning and comfort
- AXISLOCK dual-injected stability system
- TWISTGRIP spikeless traction pattern
A brand new update to one of adidas's most popular spikeless shoes, the CODECHAOS 27 introduces a host of new tech as well as a more modern, yet still definitively sporty, silhouette for the model. The last model's wavy midsole and textured upper has made way for a more angular design, complemented by a clean synthetic leather upper.
The headline additions to the new CODECHAOS come in the form of AXISLOCK: a dual-injected stability system that cups the the heel to provide better balance throughout the swing, and TWISTSKIN, a flexible new dual-layer upper material that has the look and feel of leather with less weight and hardier waterproofing.
Making a return to the model are the full-length Boost midsole that CODECHAOS players have come to love over the years. The TWISTGRIP spikeless traction pattern on the outsole has also been expanded significantly, with 120% more coverage for enhanced grip in tough conditions.

FootJoy Pro/SL
RRP: $160
Key Features:
- Z-TEC Upper provides Targeted Flexibility and Stability
- ARCTrax/SL outsole delivers aggressive traction for high-level players
- StratoFOAM heel pad and lightweight EVA forefoot cushioning
- Forefoot nylon spring plate maximises energy return
- OrthoLite X25 FitBed for added comfort and support
FootJoy's Pro/SL has had a refresh for 2026, with a brand new traction pattern, the most modern and sporty look yet seen in a FootJoy golf shoe, and a revamped upper.
The overall profile of the shoe has been lowered and widened somewhat, giving it something of a gym shoe-like look, with a wide base and a roomy toe box and a slightly narrowed heel section that allows for a wider toe spread while locking you in and keeping you feeling firmly planted on the ground.
FootJoy offer both medium width and wide options in the Pro/SL, and this is truly one of the best-fitting options out there if you have a low arch or a wide foot.
The fit and upper of the new Pro/SL are excellent, while the traction and stability provided by the updated outsole and nylon plate is among the best we've tested in a spikeless golf shoe to date. However while the added heel crash pad provides some welcome cushioning, the relatively thin midsole and forefoot nylon plate combine to make the overall ride pretty firm.
If you value a more solid ride in your golf shoes, as many FootJoy players tend to, you'll like the feel of the new Pro/SL, but those who want a softer feel might want to look elsewhere.

G/FORE MG4+ O2
Price: £185
Spiked/spikeless: Both
Key Features:
- Waterproof TPU upper
- Choice of spikeless version or G/LOCK technlogy cleats with replaceable Tour Flex Pro Softspikes
- Removable and washable massaging insoles
- Locked in stability with external heel counter
- Responsive auxetic lattice midsole and sidewall
- Odour-inhibiting triple density foam cushion footbed
One of the most comfortable and stylish golf shoes on the market right now, G/FORE's MG4+ O2 is an absolute winner.
The MG4+ O2 is perhaps G/FORE"s most well-rounded shoe, with its clean, athletic silhouette, unbelievable comfort (including that much-loved massaging inner sole) and practical waterproof upper. And while there's a choice of added grip in the G/LOCK version, where G/FORE have updated the outer sole with a series of Softspikes' flagship Tour Flex Pro spikes, the grip in the spikeless version is outstanding and makes for much easier wearing off the course.
There are a couple of niggling issues with the MG4 pertaining to fit, mostly revolving around their fairly narrow shape and unsuitability for wider-footed golfers. However for most women who tend to have narrower feet, we highly recommend you give these a go, and have no hesitation in naming them among the most comfortable spiked golf shoes on the market.

The best sneaker-style women's golf shoes

adidas S2G 26
RRP: £85 (Textile), £90 (Leather)
Key Features:
- Choice of waterproof textile and leather uppers
- Lightstrike midsole
- Adiwear spikeless outsole
Updated for 2026, adidas's casually-styled S2Gs remain a very solid, versatile offering from adidas, and stack up among the best sneaker-styled golf shoes money can buy.
Debuted back in 2024 as a sneaker-style shoe that packed in a ton of performance yet drifted well under the £100 price point, the S2G instantly became one of adidas's most popular golf models. Two years on, the S2G 26 refines this package even further while adding more nods to the brand's unrivalled sneaker heritage.
A softened version of the S2G 24's Lightstrike platform provides a more cushioned sensation, and while the amount of foam underfoot isn't huge, the S2G proved more than comfortable enough to wear to the course, out on a full 18 holes of walking, and back home again.
I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say they're good looking enough to routinely wear off the course, but they provide just the right amount of looks, performance and traction to serve as a reliable go-to for casual rounds, dry climates and practice sessions.
The real selling point here, of course, is the price. At just £85 for the textile version and £90 for the leather upgrade, you also won't have to break the bank to look good and play great here, making this a perfect entry-level shoe for the developing player.
