Srixon's shiny new ZXi irons just got a sneaky tour launch

It's been a mammoth Open Championship weekend for Srixon.

Fresh off claiming its first major driver win since 2023 in the hands of Ryan Fox, the Japanese brand has brought the heat to kick off 3M Open week.

Srixon have been one of the most prolific brands in unveiling new products over the last couple of months, only recently dropping the first pictures of the ZXi RKT metalwood range that Fox would go on to win with at Royal Birkdale over the weekend.

Now, after much speculation, the brand has confirmed that updates to their flagship irons are on the way, dropping the first snaps of the refreshed ZXi7 and ZXi5 irons, as well as the ZXi U utility iron.

As with the prior generation, the ZXi7 will represent the players offering, with the more forgiving ZXi5 providing more of a players distance option. The ZXi4 also introduces a forged game improvement option into the line-up, and will also likely get an update to go alongside the two models already revealed.

Many Srixon staffers, including the aforementioned Fox and J.J. Spaun, game combo sets of these irons.

Srixon haven't confirmed exact details of what's new with the irons, however we can tell from the images that the iron will have the same proprietary i-Forged construction as the former model, which allows Srixon to use a softer steel in its irons while maintaining strength. 

The images also allude to new technologies known as Mainframe IQ and PureFrame IQ, which would represent further improvements to the Mainframe and Pureframe technologies seen in the older generation, but we'll need to wait for their official unveiling to find out exactly what's new with each.
