Bernd Wiesberger on course to DEFEND Made in HimmerLand title in Denmark

Bernd Wiesberger will take a one-shot lead on 14-under-par into the final round at the Made in HimmerLand in Denmark as he seeks to defend his title from 2019.

The Austrian carded a 3-under-par 68 to finish one stroke ahead of Sweden's Alexander Bjork, who shot a superb 66 on day three at Himmerland Golf and Spa Resort.

The 35-year-old, who is aiming to become the first player to successfully defend a European Tour title since Jon Rahm at the Mutuactivos Open de España in 2019, went to the turn in 36 with birdies at the 2nd hole and 8th holes, but made bogeys at the 6th and 9th holes.

The seven-time European Tour winner hit top gear on the back nine with four birdies, including a fantastic chip-in at the par-4 12th hole from an impossible position.

While Bjork remained in contention on 13-under-par for the week, England's Laurie Canter surged up the leaderboard into third place with a great third-round score of 7-under-par.

Canter, who averaged over 300 yards with his driver on day three, made a great eagle at the par-5 5th hole and despite making one bogey, he added six more birdies to fire a 64 and finish on 11-under-par.

Fellow Englishman Richard Bland, the memorable winner of the Betfred British Masters at the Belfry, will begin on Sunday four shots behind in a tie for fourth after his 68 on Saturday in Denmark.

Bland is joined by Masahiro Kawamura, Matthias Schwab, Kurt Kitayama, Josh Geary and Jason Scrivener in fourth place on 10-under-par.
