Golf fans react as Justin Thomas WEARS A HOODIE at the Scottish Open!

Justin Thomas is well in the running to win his first event since the Players Championship in March, as he shot a 2-under-par 69 in the second round of the Scottish Open.

The American is just three shots behind leader Jon Rahm, who despite venting his frustration at different points on the back nine, fired a round of 6-under-par to hit the front on 11-under-par.

Thomas caught the eye of many golf fans at the course and watching at home when he put on his grey hoodie to keep himself warm in North Berwick.

The golf hoodie has always been a controversial talking point on the PGA Tour and the European Tour, but it is a sign that golf is moving into the modern world.

Players such as Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton and Collin Morikawa have all sported hoodies in the past as they became very popular amongst golf fans who wanted to follow the trend.

Back in January, Thomas was dropped by his main clothing sponsor Ralph Lauren after he made a homophobic slur when missing a putt at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

It would appear that the World No. 3 has been supplied his hoodie by Lineage, the logistics company that he signed a multi-year deal with in May.
