Donald Trump was reportedly playing golf at Trump National GC on Saturday at the same time as his Democratic challenger Joe Biden was named the 46th President of the United States of America.

Biden won the key battleground of Pennsylvania, propelling him over the 270 electoral college vote threshold required to clinch the White House, however, the Trump campaign has indicated their candidate does not plan to concede.

Trump posted a number of tweets about the result of the US Election on his Twitter account on Saturday morning before heading to his course in Sterling, Virginia.

According to the White House pool reporter, Trump was "wearing a white Maga cap, windbreaker, dark slacks, non-dress shirt and shoes appropriate for golfing."

Reports claim Biden is an avid golfer himself, playing off a 6-handicap, which closely rivals that of Trump, who supposedly plays off less than 5.

"Should he [Biden] become commander-in-chief, it would put him in the conversation with John F Kennedy as the best golfing president in history," said a Golf Digest article.

As of November 7, 2020, it is reported on Golf News Net that Trump has played a total of 294 times in his position as US President.

GNN states: "Donald Trump paid a visit to Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Va. on Nov. 7, representing the 292nd time the 45th President has visited one of his 17 golf clubs (and, for most of them, presumably played some golf) since becoming President on Jan. 20, 2017. He has now paid 294 visits to any golf course as President."

"Trump arrived to his D.C.-area golf club on Saturday just after 10 a.m. Trump spent the morning tweeting that he was still alive in a legal fight to undermine the results of the Presidential election.

"While Trump was on the course, major news networks started calling the election for Joe Biden, projecting he will become the 46th President of the United States.

"Trump prefers to play golf in the mornings, while the Secret Service follows around Trump in golf carts that, so far, have cost American taxpayers nearly $765,000 to use. He claims to have a USGA handicap index under 5, but he is thought to have a vanity handicap that makes him seem better at the sport than he is.

"The Secret Service has spent over $950,000 to stay overnight at Trump-owned properties, including his New Jersey country club."

The Guardian writes: "Trump’s dedication to playing golf while in office has been a source of continuing controversy – particularly because he memorably and repeatedly lambasted his predecessor, Barack Obama, over how often he played the game."

Trump has constantly defended his passion for golf, tweeting earlier in the year that "my 'exercise' is playing, almost never during the week, a quick round of golf, Obama played more and much longer rounds, no problem."
