Kevin Kisner picked up his second PGA Tour title with a narrow one-shot victory at the Dean & DeLuca Invitational in Texas.

Kisner, 33, carded a final-round 66 featuring six birdies and two bogeys for a 10-under winning total.

The American started Sunday three strokes behind 54-hole leader Webb Simpson but hit the front following three consecutive birdies from the 10th.

He extended his lead to two shots with a birdie at 15 but then saw the advantage slip to one with a three-putt bogey at 16.

American Jon Rahm missed a birdie putt at 18 from 10 feet to tie the lead, leaving Kisner the task of holing a five-footer for par which he duly made to collect the trophy.

"I'm honoured to be a champion here and to see my name on the wall here will be very special," said Kisner.

"I just absolutely love this place."

The win caps off what has been a solid run of form for Kisner in recent months with second-place finishes at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March and then alongside Scott Brown in the new Zurich Classic team format in April.

Kisner's last victory came at the RSM Classic in November 2015.

Tournament favourite Jordan Spieth bounced back from consecutive missed cuts in recent weeks with a tie for second on 9-under alongside compatriots Rahm and Sean O'Hair.

Simpson bogeyed the last to fall back to 8-under and in solo fifth.

England's Paul Casey began the final round just two strokes behind but endured a disappointing round of 73 to end up finishing tied 10th.
