Matt Fitzpatrick clinched his second career European Tour title with a commanding three-shot victory at the Nordea Masters in Sweden.

Fitzpatrick, 21, started the final round five shots clear but held off a sprited challenge from both Nicolas Colsaerts and Lasse Jensen with a round of 71 to finish 16-under.

The Englishman, who landed his elusive British Masters title at the end of last season, now moves to 32nd in the world rankings and pushes himself well up into contention for an automatic place in Darren Clarke's European Ryder Cup side this September.

"I played fantastic, this is probably the best I've ever played," said Fitzpatrick. "I'm a million miles ahead of schedule. It's been a tough past few weeks and all of a sudden you turn up and pick up a win."

Fitzpatrick played a mixed bag of equipment including Callaway Big Bertha Alpha driver, PING G fairway woods, a combination of PING i25 and S55 irons, a mix of PING Tour Gorge and Titleist Vokey SM5 wedges, and Yes! Tracy II putter.

He also wore Under Armour apparel.
