Min Woo Lee captures maiden European Tour title at Vic Open

Australia's Min Woo Lee clinched his maiden European Tour title at the age of 21 with victory on home soil at the ISPS Handa Vic Open.

Lee, the former US Junior Amateur champion, carded a final-round 4-under 68 to finish on 19-under par and win by two strokes over fellow Austrlian Ryan Fox, who raced home with a stunning 8-under 64.

The 21-year-old birdied three of the first four holes to stamp his authority on the tournament. He went on to birdie the 15th to nose two strokes ahead of Fox, in the clubhouse, and despite a nervy bogey at the 17th he went on to birdie the par-5 last to see out the win.

On the 18th tee, Lee pulled out a 2-iron to make sure he hit the fairway, but no one expected the 365 yard bomb he produced with it. Watch the crazy tee shot below:

One of the funniest moments of the final round came when Lee went to knuckle his caddie after hitting a decent shot off the tee, only to be left empty handed...

Looking on was Lee's older sister, Minjee, who won the event in 2014 and 2018 before it was co-sanctioned by the LPGA and European Tour.

The men's tournament was being played at exactly the same time as the ladies tournament, which was won by Hee Young Park in a playoff.

Minjee finished tied for sixth Sunday, two back of women's winner Park, with men and women playing the same course at the same time for equal prize money.
