Paige Spiranac has become brand ambassador of a new golf app called 18Birdies, which lets users connect with friends and track their golf data among other things.
Spiranac, 24, currently has more than 1 million followers on social media, which is only surpassed in the golf world by Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth.
The ladies professional golfer and social media star will be used in a variety of marketing opportunities, including a national TV advertising campaign, marking the very first TV commercials for both Spiranac and 18Birdies.

"She has built an influential reputation in the social media space and we are looking forward to bringing her unique content to our fans."
18Birdies lets users connect with friends, run individual and team competitions, track round histories and player statistics, and also features a GPS rangefinder with more than 30,000 courses worldwide.
As a result of her fame on social media, Spiranac has managed to receive a number of endorsement deals, sponsor invites into tournaments and even built a platform with which to fight cyber bullying.
