The police are hunting for a car that drove through a barrier at high speeds and onto a golf course in Telford, that was populated with golfers at the time, before causing damage and "tearing up" the grounds.

Telford police posted a video on the 'Telford Cops' Twitter page showing them actively searching for the car after it left traces of its lights and indicators after smashing through a barrier.

Writing alongside a thread of tweets, the Telford police said: "Calls coming in about a 4x4 tearing up the golf course Muxton. Vehicle last seen on Granville Road. Vehicle is green with loud exhaust We are out looking for it now. There were players on the course so you can appreciate how dangerous it was.

"The driver smashed through the gates near the stables breaking his indicators.

"We believe it's a Rav 4."

If you have any information on the incident please contact the Telford police.
