Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods were just six of golf's biggest names to pay tribute to LA Lakers legend Kobe Bryant who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash on Sunday morning, along with nine others including his daughter Gianna.
Tiger Woods, like many of the PGA Tour players competing in the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open on Sunday, only found out about the devastating news when coming off the 18th green.
"I just heard it from Joey [Joe LaCava, his caddie] while coming off the 18th green," said Woods, who finished tied ninth.
"I didn't understand why the fans were yelling 'Do it for Mamba' on the back nine. People yell things all the time. I was just plodding along and doing my own thing, and then when Joey told me here, it's just unbelievable the reality that he is no longer here."

Kobe Bryant was my ultimate HERO growing up. I idolized everything he did. Even to this day he was an inspiration to the way I approached things. I woke up every day and saw this quote every time I opened my phone. This wisdom and mentality motivated me not only in hard times, but throughout my whole life. RIP, Kobe. You will never be replaced, your legacy will live on forever.
