WATCH: Crazy lightning bolt strikes tree at U.S Women's Open

This year's U.S Women's Open was a fantastic spectacle with some brilliant golf on show. Jeongeun Lee shot one under in a difficult final round where most of the field shot over par, to finish six under par and take home the trophy.

During the tournament, weather interrupted play on Friday afternoon. The horn blew to clear the course and just a few moments later, a huge lightning bolt came storming down, striking a tree near the 18th green. The tree was split in half and roped off by officials and luckily no one was hurt. Watch below to take a closer look:
