WATCH: Runaway golf cart causes MAYHEM at golf club
An out of control golf cart caused mayhem at a golf club in America.
We've seen plenty of out of control golf carts in our time, either in person or on social media. Sometimes we can see the funny side of things but that's not always the case, occasionally a golf cart that has lost control can cause serious damage to someone.
For example, it was recently reported that last year, Tony Finau saved a volunteer's life, after he got stuck underneath an out of control cart, that was dragging him at speed across the driving range.
On Friday, another video emerged that was shared by GOLF.com, where a golf cart took off without anyone in the drivers seat and caused havoc, but luckily no one was injured. Check out the clip below and see for yourself...
At the start of the video, captured by CCTV at the golf club, what looks to be an employee of the club pulls up in the cart by the entrance to the clubhouse, probably where the bag drop zone is for the club.
As he hits the breaks and hops out of the cart, the bags seem to shift position with one of them falling onto the accelerator and that's where the mayhem begins.
The man quickly realises the cart has taken off and he tries to slow it down but it causes him to fall, before the cart crashes into the pillar, completely wiping it out, before slamming into a parked SUV.
Thankfully, the SUV is parked and stops the cart from going elsewhere and gives other employees the chance to put the cart to a complete stop. The situation could have been a lot worse and it was lucky that no one was hurt, so remember to always put the cart in neutral or take the key out when you've come to a stop!
