This LIV Golf player had a childish response to a conspiracy theory.

LIV Golf pro has the most childish response imaginable to conspiracy…

There was a bold conspiracy theory floating around about LIV Golf last week.

This was as bold as you could get. I mean, absolutely bananas. We're talking the same level as the 'truth' of 9/11. The moon landing. The Illuminati.

It concerned Chase Koepka's epic hole-in-one in Adelaide that prompted an almighty beer shower

Even Ian Poulter - who recently found out he is facing the prospect of a huge fine from his home circuit - celebrated wildly.

Then Poults was filmed giving it large at the afterparty.

But back to our topic at hand and as you can imagine the conspiracy theory was whether or not Koepka's ace was real.

Yeah...

They discussed this on The Loop podcast.

Was it staged?

The host said:

"I am not going to go far as to call the Koepka thing staged. I know some people kinda trolled jokingly about that. But something feels very off about the many videos I have seen of it and I am curious to know your guys' take on it, but I don't know.
"It was on tape delay, right? It happened in the middle of the night here. I don't know, a couple of big time social media accounts... comedian Bert Kreischer was there.
"The Country Club Adjacent guys were there who seem to be literal paid LIV actors [who] all happen to get the perfect footage of Chase Koepka's hole-in-one from the fans' vantage points.
"They're all sharing it and kind of saying the same thing and, I don't know, it just feels a little too perfectly crafted for me.
"My spidey senses are tingling and my spidey senses are pretty good as you know."

Clearly, Lee Westwood took a dim view of this theory, by childishly re-naming the podcast:

LIV Golf pro has the most childish response imaginable to conspiracy theory!

Cheers, Lee.

It should be noted that Westwood does have a bit of history with GolfDigest and in particular with one writer.

Way back in March 2022 - before LIV Golf officially launched - Westy snapped back at a reporter for an 'ageist' post.

"What a coward you are," Westwood wrote.
