Brainchild of professional golfer Tom Hayward, the Clutch Pro Tour's main objectives are to offer prize funds that have the capacity to change a player's career, and also give their events a "big tournament feel".

What's more, there are no membership fees or qualifying costs.

The central feature of the business is a guaranteed prize pot as follows:

> £25,000 total prize (highest open access / non qualifying pro tournament prize fund in the UK)

> £11,000 first prize (highest first prize in UK / outside of European Tour sanctioned events)

> £20,000 car for a hole-in-one (Bedford Insurance Group are sponsoring the 11th hole and have paid for the hole-in-one prize https://www.bedfordinsurance.co.uk)

The Tour's guarantee is based on a field of up to 70 professionals - so if it achieves more then it can put more money into the prize fund, or add to the prize fund through financial sponsorship.

Clutch Pro Tour's flagship event tees off at Camberley Heath on Tuesday May 16, of which there has already been plenty of interest from a number of European Tour and Challenge Tour players.

It has already been backed by Pulseroll - which first launched in the golf market at last year's British Masters - and there will be a number of additional sponsors announced in the coming weeks.
