New range features White Hot performance with Tour preferred feel

Odyssey rolls out ProType iX putters

ProType ix #9HT

Odyssey has today introduced its ProType iX line of forged-milled premium putters, which combine the precision of a milled putter with the highly popular White Hot insert and adjustable weighting.

The ProType iX takes direct feedback from Callaway staff players, including Phil Mickelson and Ryo Ishikawa, plus other top golfers playing the professional tours around the world, to deliver Odyssey’s most technically advanced range for the better player.

Odyssey says its new and improved White Hot Pro insert gives greater consistency and control to all putts. It's also been engineered for a more consistent sound, feel and performance across the striking surface, while the new laser milling cutting process has allowed Odyssey to achieve extremely tight tolerances for more consistency and performance.

ProType iX comes with three sets of customisable weights (10g, 15g and 20g) to fine-tune a preferred head weight?. This allows players to customise feel based on different playing conditions, including green speeds. The weight wrench also doubles as a divot tool.

The putters also feature a Tour-inspired PVD finish that creates an industrial, non-glare look at address. The PVD process (Physical Vapour Deposition) delivers increased hardness and wear-resistance for incredible durability.

ProType iX will be available from July 12 at RRP £279 in three head shapes (right-hand only) and in shaft length options of 33in, 34in and 35in.

ProType iX #1: squared-off heel-toe weighted blade with a crank-neck hosel and full-shaft offset.
ProType iX #4HT: squared-off high toe blade with a scooped back, a crank-neck hosel and full-shaft offset.
ProType iX #9HT: toe-weighted, heel-shafted, flanged blade with a long hosel and half-shaft offset.
