Foresight Sports has unveiled the new GC2 launch monitor, bringing its camera-based technology to a lower price point.

Foresight Sports has launched the GC2, a new dual-camera launch monitor designed to make the company's launch-monitor technology more accessible to golfers and coaches.

Priced at $1,699, the GC2 becomes a new entry point into the Foresight ecosystem and is available to pre-order now, with units expected to begin shipping between October 9 and 15.

Unlike radar-based launch monitors that sit behind the golfer and use algorithms to estimate what happens at impact, the GC2 uses two high-speed cameras to capture the impact itself.

Foresight says this approach allows the GC2 to directly measure key ball-flight data rather than relying on estimates.

The launch monitor records a wide range of data, including:

  • Carry and total distance
  • Ball speed
  • Launch angle and direction
  • Back, side and total spin
  • Spin axis
  • Offline
  • Peak height
  • Descent angle
  • Hang time

Despite its lower price, Foresight says the GC2 retains the accuracy and performance associated with its higher-end launch monitors.

The compact unit is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB-C connectivity. Its portable design also means it can be used at the range or incorporated into a home simulator setup.

Golfers can purchase the GC2 as a standalone launch monitor or as part of Foresight's SIM IN A BOX packages, with custom simulator setups also available.

The GC2 is also the first new hardware launch to join Foresight's ecosystem following the introduction of the company's Foresight+ and Premier software updates.

Each GC2 purchase includes a 30-day free trial of Foresight+, allowing golfers to explore the connected software platform alongside the launch monitor.

Jeff Foster, President of Revelyst Golf Technology, said the aim was to make accurate launch-monitor data available to more golfers.

"With GC2 our goal is simple, we want to remove barriers that prohibit golfers from experiencing the Foresight difference," he said.

Foresight Sports already offers a range of launch monitors including the GC3, GCQuad, QuadMAX and Falcon, with the GC2 now providing a more affordable route into the company's ecosystem.

For golfers looking for a portable launch monitor with camera-based technology and access to detailed ball-flight data, the GC2 could prove an interesting new option — particularly for those building a home simulator or wanting more detailed feedback during practice.
