Ever wanted to know where Tiger Woods stays during a Major Championship? Well Here are the first pictures of Tiger Woods' accommodation in The magnificent Old Course Hotel flanking the side of the 17th Hole of next weeks Major championship venue, The Old Course at St Andrews.

The Old Course Hotel have recently opened their new extension just in time for the 2000 Open Championship and the World's top golfing stars will be staying in the five star luxury with Woods occupying one of the huge suites overlooking the 17th tee of The Old Course.

The new wing was target of some controversy as local residents complained that it would affect how the hole was played as the new wing was alleged to have interfered with the drive over the old railway sheds which have been part of the hole's strategy since last century.

But Michael Bonnallack, Captain and former Secretary of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club was at the opening ceremony and said in jocular fashion:

"I know that there has been a lot of controversy about the new wing affecting the 17th hole, we will have to see how the players next week will like it, if they don’t, we might have to rip it down again!!!"

The new wing has been furnished in a minimalist style with hints of Japanese simplicity and practicality.

Each room is furnished with a huge double bed, en-suite shower and sunken bath, Satellite TV, a state of the art hi-fi system, dining room to entertain guests and kitchenette area.

It is an official secret as to which room Woods is staying in, as the R&A are the only ones to know outside the hotel which room Woods will occupy. But GOLFmagic.com discovered the number of Woods' room through a credible local source, who wishes to remain anonymous, who works at the Hotel.

Woods will be hoping that the opulence will lend itself to his relaxation before, during and after he claims his grand slam winning major championship.
