Thief steals golfer's artificial arm
Fund-raising pro robbed of livelihood
Bob Warters

A one-armed, professional Texas golfer, who raises thousands of dollars for charity challenging able-bodied golfers, has had his artificial limb stolen.
Larry Alford, aged 28, from Spring, Texas, was a promising amateur before losing his right-arm below the elbow ten years ago in a car accident.
Today police were still trying to track down the callous thief who stole the $15,000 custom-made arm from a car parked outside the home of the golfer known ‘as the one-armed bandit’.
"This is pretty serious because it's how I make my living," Alford said. "It's pretty sad that it happened."
