Representing Team Europe, GolfMagic teamed up with Scottsdale Golf to take on the biggest golfing channel on YouTube, America's Good Good Golf, in an epic Ryder Cup style match.

To celebrate the opening of GolfMagic and Scottsdale Golf's island green at the Royal Albert Docks in Liverpool, Good Good Golf were invited down to compete in the "YouTube Ryder Cup".

Representing the stars and stripes of Team USA, Good Good members, Garrett, Steve, Brad, Matt, Bubbie and Luke took on Europe's best and brightest in the form of a mixed team featuring players from GolfMagic and Scottsdale Golf, headlined by PGA teaching pro and Instagram star Alex Elliott.

Positioned 60 yards from the dock, the island green was set up to celebrate the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, and it was the ideal venue to host the hotly contested competition.

With a cream pie to the face, the forfeit selected for the losing captain, the pressure was on for GolfMagic Equipment Editor Alex Lodge and Good Good's Matt Scharff.

The competition's format was a straight shoot-out, with each player getting three shots to land the ball on the green. Whichever team managed to land the most on the island would walk away victorious.

So let's see how it went...

Despite Europe's best efforts, the golfing prowess and pressure of a YouTube following of 1.3 million golfers focused the minds of Good Good's players, and they strode to a commanding 6-2 victory.

Team Europe was sadly no match for the pinpoint accuracy that Good Good brought to the table, and we've got to hope this isn't an early omen for when Zach Johnson's real Ryder Cup team visits Italy in a month's time.

While the YouTube Ryder Cup, unfortunately, didn't bear witness to a hole-in-one, team Good Good didn't want to leave without chalking off at least one ace.

In true Good Good style, they produced two scintillating moments of skill, with both Garrett and Matt holing superb shots before the sun went down.
