WATCH: Matt Wallace gets caddie to tend pin, then CHUNKS chip!
Social media reacts to Wallace's mishap at the US Open...
You certainly have to admire Matt Wallace's confidence when getting his caddie to tend the flagstick on a fiddly 56-yard chip at a US Open. Only you get made to look like a 18-handicapper when you chunk the resulting chip.
Wallace then compounded the error on the par-5 12th hole when taking three putts to get down from there and it led to a disappointing bogey-six. Social media was quick to react to the Englishman's mishap...

the always-expressive Matt Wallace just had his caddie tend the pin from about 40 yards out, no doubt setting up something particularly clever — and then chunked the hell out of it pic.twitter.com/GkUdjwPKEz
