FedEx St Jude Championship Golf Betting Tips
FedEx St Jude Championship Golf Betting Tips: check out the latest PGA Tour picks from our editor and expert tipster Andy Roberts ahead of the first Playoffs event at TPC Southwind.
The FedEx St Jude Championship marks the first of three season-ending Playoffs events this month and I believe it's hard to look too far away from the top of the betting market.
After several weeks of near misses on the PGA Tour, I'm intent to get us back in the green at TPC Southwind.
I'm going to give you one outright selection who I will think win the tournament, and an each-way pick who I think will chase him home in Memphis.
There are just 69 players competing at the limited-field FedEx St Championship this week.
Rory McIlroy is so far the only absentee for the first FedEx Cup Playoffs event.
Here's why he chose not to play.
The winner scoops a jackpot of $3.6m.

Simply look no further than the World No.1 Scottie Scheffler to win his fifth PGA Tour title and first ever FedEx St Jude this weekend.
Although his gigantic lead atop of the world rankings has been shrunk slightly by career grand slammer McIlroy this season, there is no doubt in my mind that Scheffler is still the very best golfer in the world by some considerable margin.
Not even any of the LIV Golf players rival him at this very moment in time.
What makes Scheffler's job even easier this week is that World No.2 McIlroy has not even bothered to rock up at TPC Southwind.
Scheffler is therefore very much the man to beat after etching his name on the famous Claret Jug for the first time in his career last time out at The Open, which marked his second major win of the season to go alongside the US PGA.
After an indifferent start to the year by his own high standards, Scheffler's ball striking once again looks back to where it was throughout the entirety of season, and that is ominous for everyone else's chances in the Playoffs.
Scheffler will also be fully refreshed after taking the last couple of weeks off to spend time with his wife Meredith and baby boy Bennett, and I fully expect him to bring his A-game to Memphis and strengthen his lead in the FedEx Cup.
He also holds an impressive 67.94 stroke average over his last 18 rounds at TPC Southwind, per Betfair's stats, and that is one of the best in the field.
The four-time major winner is the defending FedEx Cup champion and he will be intent on becoming the first ever golfer to successfully defend the season-long race on the PGA Tour before heading off to lead his nation's charge and regain the Ryder Cup next month.
As we all know by now, if Scheffler brings a warm putter, or an even a lukewarm one, then he wins the tournament. It really is as simple as that, and the main reason why he starts this week with best odds of 3/1, not dissimilar to like we saw with Tiger Woods back in his prime.
Scheffler isn't yet in Woods' category, but it's certainly get close now.

The man who I think will give Scheffler most to worry about at the FedEx St Jude Championship is World No.5 Russell Henley, who is very much trending for a sixth PGA Tour title.
Henley has arguably been in the form of his life this season, despite only winning once at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.
His recent performances have been remarkably consistent and he's on something of a heater entering the Playoffs.
Henley arrives here off the back of a fifth at the Memorial, 10th at the US Open, second at the Travelers and a 10th at The Open.
That latest form is not far off Scheffler's, just without a win to show for it.
Henley not only ranks a career-best fifth in the world right now and fourth in the US Ryder Cup standings, but he's also fifth in strokes-gained total on the PGA Tour this season.
TPC Southwind places much more of a premium on accuracy of the tee, and Henley, who finished sixth here in 2023, fits the bill at 15th for driving accuracy this season.
According to Betfair's stats, Henley has an impressive 68.3 stroke average over his last 10 rounds at TPC Southwind.
Henley is also typically one of the best putters on the PGA Tour too, so if he can continue to put it all together this week then I think best odds of 30/1 represents terrific each-way value, especially if you can grab him for the top six places.
Also just like with Scheffler above, Henley will be well rested and refreshed after taking the past two weeks off to be with his family.
The American is guaranteed a place in Keegan Bradley's Ryder Cup team next September, but he will no doubt be intent on adding a second PGA Tour title this season to officially punch his ticket to Bethpage.
I think he can achieve that this week.
Out of interest, if you do fancy the Scheffler / Henley straight forecast this week, you can get odds of 75/1 with Bet365.
