Golf fans react as kid sprints over to John Daly while on the course at The Open
Young golf fan runs over to John Daly at The Open, and his reaction is priceless!
John Daly put the biggest smile on a young golf fan's face at The Open last week as he signed two of his flags and a golf ball while he walked down the 3rd hole at Royal Liverpool.
The youngster evaded security and sprinted over to Daly who was striding down the dogleg-right 3rd hole in a pair of shorts in front of the Hoylake clubhouse.
When the boy got to two-time major champion Daly, who was competing in The Open having etched his name on the famous Claret Jug at St Andrews in 1995, he handed Daly two Open flags and a golf ball.
As Daly signed the first flag, he interacted with the boy, saying: "How you doing buddy, you alright? You got a few of them already!"
The boy says: "Thank you", to which Daly replies: "You got it."
He runs away with hands in the air, only to unfortunately drop one of the flags in the mud!
"What it's all about", the PGA Tour Champions captioned the video post on Instagram.

Daly unfortunately went on to miss the cut by some margin at 12-over par.
The Wild Thing can continue to compete in The Open until he reaches the age of 60.
He is currently aged 57.
