Golf fans react to joke about Tiger Woods and Patrick Reed

"Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Tiger’s next back surgery will be a complete spine replacement. Unfortunately, that rules Patrick Reed out as a donor."

Golf fans react to joke about Tiger Woods and Patrick Reed

Golf fans have reacted to joke made about Patrick Reed being ruled out if Tiger Woods needed a spine donor, following the news that the 15-time major champion underwent a fifth back surgery.

Amanda Rose, Golf Analyst for Action Network HQ, has become increasingly popular on social media due to her engaging golf content and pretty hilarious tweets that would even give Eddie Pepperell a run for his money.

Her latest joke followed off the back of the news that Woods will miss the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open and the Genesis Invitational, after having a surgery to remove a pressurised disc fragment.

Amanda tweeted on Tuesday evening, saying: "Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Tiger’s next back surgery will be a complete spine replacement. Unfortunately, that rules Patrick Reed out as a donor."

Reed, who has blocked a large proportion of the golf media on Twitter (including us), certainly isn't the most popular player on the PGA Tour, but no one can deny the 30-year-old of his talents, that have seen him rack up eight professional wins, including the 2018 Masters.

This week, Reed competes at The American Express where he will be looking to add to his PGA Tour win tally, but faces competition from the likes of Brooks Koepka, Pantlay, Matthew Wolff and Rookie of the Year Scottie Scheffler.

Amanda's light-hearted joke received mixed reviews from golf fans, who flooded the comments in response.
