Harris English won a memorable Travelers Championship on Sunday, after emerging victorious from a marathon eight-hole playoff with Kramer Hickok.
English began the day two shots behind Hickok and Bubba Watson and he made crucial birdies at the 16th and 18th holes to reach 13-under-par ahead of clubhouse leader Marc Leishman.
Hickok made a clutch birdie of his own on the 72nd hole to force a playoff with English, which thrilled the hundreds of spectators who stuck around to discover the winner.
On the second playoff hole, English was plugged in the greenside bunker on the 18th hole while Hickok was on the green with a long birdie.
But incredibly, English splashed his bunker shot out to make a fantastic par, and Hickok rolled his birdie putt just around the lip to come within inches of victory.
Each player parred every hole of the playoff, until the 8th and final hole where English rolled in another brilliant birdie putt to secure his fourth PGA Tour title and his second win of the 2021 season.
