2013's three best women's putters

Golfmagic take a look at three of the best ladies putters on the market in 2013

2013's three best women's putters

1. PING Serene Anser 2 Ladies Putter - £109

The golfing giant that is PING has a particularly popular putter aimed at female golfers – the PING Serene Anser 2.

It bills itself as consistent, predictable and forgiving and lady golfers all over the world seem to agree. It’s flying off the shelves and it doesn’t look like that will stop any time soon.

It incorporates a multi-material design with a stainless steel head and a aluminium face insert. The variable groove insert aims to produce consistency – pivotal in a putter. Grooves are deepest in the centre, becoming shallower towards the perimeter of the insert ensuring every putt gives the same feedback and result.

Perimeter weighting in the head promotes forgiveness and allows a decent roll from off-centre putts.

2. Odyssey Divine Ladies Putter - £125

Odyssey is infamous for its great-feeling putters and the Divine Ladies Putter continues this trend. The company spent a while developing the putter to women’s preferences and came up with a new insert which they think is perfect for women golfers.

The putter has a full shaft offset and has a multi-layer insert which was overwhelmingly preferred by women during the research and testing for the club. Odyssey say it’s softer than White Ice but firmer than White Hot XG - you need to be a real Odyssey buff for that to mean anything to you!

3. Benross Jewel Pearl Cog Hill Ladies Putter - £69.99

Benross specialise in making quality golf equipment at an affordable price and they’ve hit the nail on the head with the Jewel Pearl Cog Hill Ladies Putter – although the name hardly rolls off the tongue.

The putter mixes modern groove technology with a winged mallet which has a wide body. This creates a high moment of inertia which increases stability and rhythm.

The face is precision milled to create more top spin which reduces skids and bounces and promotes a true roll. This putter is made of soft 304 stainless steel.
