MP-69

The MP-69 is a pure Mizuno muscleback. Evolved from the highly acclaimed MP-68, the newer model leans to the clean look of Mizuno's legendary blades.

As with most muscleback irons the MP-69s are gorgeous. With minimal offset and a small head, these are true player irons.

A soft feel that you always expect from Mizuno. As expected with MB irons, when struck out of the screws I can’t think of many irons with a better feel but strike it off-centre and you’ll get a horrible sting.

Struck properly, these are top-of-the-range performance irons. Easy to work and to control, I was able to manipulate ball flight easily and controlled my distance without a problem.

Verdict

An iron for a great ball-striker.  Made for low handicappers, the MP-69s have incredible feel and workability.
