Need we say any more?!

You can read Rahm's thoughts about these shoes at the bottom of this review.

Smart, athletic, comfortable, waterproof and stable, this golf shoe was one of the easiest additions we could make to our Best Golf Shoes buyer guide for 2023.

What's more, it's a golf shoe that can be worn all-year round so you receive great value for money with this one.

The Ringer, as worn by Masters champion Rahm and a number of others on the PGA Tour such as Sam Burns, is one of four golf shoes offered by TravisMathew's Cuater footwear brand. The Ringer is the leading Tour performance shoe, though, and with very good reason.

Let's take a closer look at it:

TravisMathew Cuater 'The Ringer' Golf Shoes - Looks

Straight out the box, The Ringer just oozes premium quality.

We tested the shoe out in a white model, but it's also available in black and grey.

It's a really smart looking golf shoe, yet at the same time it's got that athletic appearance too.

We could easily see this one appealing to both the traditional and younger market, so we feel like TravisMathew has done a great job here.

TravisMathew has splashed a neat 'Cuater' logo on the front of the tongue and there's a silent logo placed towards the side of the heel.

Underneath, you've got seven removable Softspikes Pivix cleats to aid stability and traction.

Although these are a spiked golf shoe model, they do possess a lovely low, athletic profile about them so they very much look like spikeless shoes.

They most certainly do not look out of place in the 19th hole, or walking around town for that matter. We can't remember seeing a spiked golf shoe with so much versatility about it.

The main issue with fresh white golf shoes is that they can get dirty very easily. However, we noted they wiped nice and clean after our first round, so there were no such issues.

Overall, a big tick in the looks department.

TravisMathew Cuater 'The Ringer' Golf Shoes - Comfort and Performance

While looks very much appealed, thankfully comfort and performance did too.

We'll go as far to say these are easily in the top three for comfort of the shoes we have tested in 2023.

After 18 holes in these, we noted extreme comfort all the way to the house aided by Cuater's 'Sweetspot Cushioning System'.

The fit was perfect in our standard size, and there was no signs of blisters or soreness, which can often happen when wearing a pair of new shoes for the first time. The tongue rests nice and easy on the top of the foot, and the slip-in feel is aided with the pullers at the back of the shoe.

We noted zero slippage on the course, which can sometimes happen with athletic-looking shoes, testament to the stability and traction provided by the Softspikes Pivix cleats.

Although it was a dry, humid afternoon out on the course in these shoes, it was a little tricky to gauge its waterproofness, however, after the round we did pour some water over them and our feet remained nice and dry.

As a result of the sunny conditions, we did note our feet felt quite warm after the round. While they were extremely comfortable, we felt their breathability could be somewhat improved. That's about the only niggle though. It was a very warm day as we say.

Should you buy TravisMathew's Cuater 'The Ringer' Golf Shoes?

Absolutely, these are really impressive. The price tag is quite steep at around the £150 mark, but as we say at the top of this review, this golf shoe can easily be worn all year round.

It's smart, it's athletic, it's waterproof, it's stable and it's extremely comfortable, which let's face it, is really the most important aspect at the end of the day when you are paying for a premium golf shoe.

The breathability could be somewhat improved, but that's about the only con we could find.

World No.1 Rahm has been wearing these golf shoes for a solid 12 months since making his move to Callaway, and he is in the form of his life right now. Okay, his golf clubs have done much of the talking of late, but he has worn Cuater footwear on every shot he has played remember.

Rahm, who previously wore adidas shoes, has also credited 'The Ringer' shoes for his rise to the top:

"I think the game changer is the shoes I am wearing. They are a lot more comfortable. I have done some great work with the Cuater and TravisMathew team and I think it has allowed me to be a little bit more stable and up my ball speed and swing speed without being concerned. I can keep that speed up from the first tee shot on Thursday to the last one on Sunday a little bit more consistently."

Rahm is wearing custom-painted Cuater 'The Ringer' shoes at this week's US PGA Championship where he attempts to win his third major title and second of the season:

Note: In celebration of the PGA Championship, TRAVISMATHEW is running a Cuater promotion, with anyone purchasing a pair of Cuater shoes gifted a free pair of Cuater socks.
