Tiger Woods' daughter Samantha Woods continues to show sporting excellence, but this time on the track.

Tiger Woods might be on the sidelines when it comes to competitive action on the PGA Tour right now, but his daughter Samantha and son Charlie are certainly keeping him busy on a sporting front this season.

Samantha, 17, capped off an exceptional high school soccer career with a state championship two months ago, and now she is turning her attention to the athletics track before moving to Stanford University.

News has emerged that Tiger Woods' daughter Samantha is scheduled to compete in four events at the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1A State Track & Field Meet on Saturday 10 May.

Samantha, who represents Benjamin School, is getting set to compete in the 100 and 400-metre hurdles events, where she is seeded 13th and 18th respectively.

She will also participate in the girls 4 x 400 and 4 x 800-metre relay races, where her team is seeded fourth.

Samantha's team reportedly has a great shot at winning the girls 1A title this Saturday.

The Benjamin School track and field team also includes: Phoebe Apple, Andrea Arendts, Ella Bailey, Sofia Balistreri, Ava Bevevino, Maxine Dalton, Isabelle Downey, Jaida Fleuridor, Samantha Hill, Kate Hilzenrath, Leah Klein, Maddie Lemanski, Emma Lewis, Akari Marshall, Kamori Reddick, Ella Travers and Kayla Travers.

Benjamin School is up against five other schools: Boca Raton Christian, Jupiter Christian, Oxbridge Academy, Pahokee and St. John Paul II Academy.

The meet will be staged at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, just nine miles away from PGA Tour HQ at TPC Sawgrass, home to The Players Championship that Woods won twice in 2001 and 2013.

It is understood 15-time major champion Woods, 49, will once again be in attendance to watch his daughter compete on the track, just as he did two months ago when Samantha won her soccer final.

Elin Nordegren, Woods' ex-wife and mother of both Samantha and Charlie, is also expected to be in attendance this weekend.

Samantha will then soon embark on an exciting new journey at Stanford University this fall, just like her father did.

Woods attended Stanford University in 1994 where he enrolled on a golf scholarship, and he then left college to turn professional and join the PGA Tour in 1996.

And of course as everyone knows by now, Woods' son and Samantha's brother Charlie Woods, 15, continues to excel on the golf course.

In his latest update, Charlie competed in the first stage of U.S. Open qualifying on Monday.

He unfortunately came up shy in reaching the second stage for golf's second major of the season.

Charlie shot a 3-over 75 in the 18-hole qualifier staged on the Johnny Miller-designed championship course at Wellington National, Florida.

He finished five shots outside of the five qualifying spots into the next round.

For Woods, who recently confirmed a new relationship with Vanessa Trump, another unfortunate lengthy spell on the sidelines is on the cards for the remainder of the season.

The PGA Tour legend confirmed two months ago that he had undergone surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.

That came nearly a year after he underwent the sixth back surgery of his career, which came some three years after he nearly lost his life in a horror car crash in Los Angeles in February 2021.

But despite all of his injury woes, Woods' good friend and fellow PGA Tour legend Fred Couples has told the media he remains "in great spirits"

Woods is also said to be happily in love with his new girlfriend, Vanessa, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.

He is not expected to return to the PGA Tour until he turns 50 at the end of the year.

Woods is likely to take up a card to join Couples and co. on the PGA Tour Champions in 2026.

The PGA Tour Champions is the over 50s circuit where Woods will be able to ride in a golf cart.

Woods made an announcement ahead of next week's PGA Championship.
