TaylorMade's Performance range flew off the shelves. The P760's were introduced to provide players with high ball speeds with a more forgiving feel and here's what we think of them...

When the P760's were first delivered to the GolfMagic HQ, I was instantly gripped by the premium design of the irons and what I found surprising was how comfortable they made me feel at address and this was no different out on the course.

The P760's have an ultra-thin face made from a 1025 carbon steel, but the SpeedFoam technology ensures that you can't feel how thin the face is, something that I really liked when striking the ball. Watch our video review of the P760's below:

I expected to see an extra yard or two with each of the irons, but that was closer to three or four, which I was surprised about. What I loved most about the P760's was the consistency of the trajectory of my shots. It's not unusual to see the trajectory of your iron shots be a little inconsistent, but with these irons I was getting the same results every time. That made my iron control a lot easier, especially as I enjoy hitting long irons off the tee, so the combination of launch and distance was excellent.

VERDICT

If you're a low handicap player and a confident ball striker, these irons are the ones for you. Consistency is key in golf and the P760's give you just that. Longer distances, shot shape control and a decent amound of forgiveness for a forged iron. Love the concept of the SpeedFoam technology as it's backed up by the performance of the club.
