Shane Lowry responds to reporter's bizarre question about Ryder Cup
Shane Lowry was asked one of the more curious questions at the Ryder Cup this week.
Shane Lowry snapped back at a reporter's rather bizarre question as to why he is so invested in the Ryder Cup.
The reporter pressed Lowry on the subject after seeing him fist-pump Justin Rose on the 1st tee Friday afternoon.
This was after watching the Englishman split the opening fairway as he set out for his afternoon fourballs match with Bob MacIntyre.
Lowry was benched for the afternoon session so he headed into the media centre to talk about his morning play.
It was there where he was asked a curious question about his passion and desire for golf's greatest team event.
Here's how the interaction went down.
On the first tee, you were fist-pumping Justin Rose finding a fairway. Why are you so invested in the Ryder Cup, and what was your first Ryder Cup memory?
Lowry replied:
