BMW PGA Championship field continues to grow with three more Ryder Cup stars
Tommy Fleetwood, Ludvig Åberg and Sepp Straka are the latest big names heading to Wentworth.

Tommy Fleetwood, Ludvig Åberg and Sepp Straka have been confirmed for the 2026 BMW PGA Championship, adding further Ryder Cup pedigree to an already stellar field at Wentworth Club.
The European trio, who helped Team Europe secure back-to-back Ryder Cup victories in Rome in 2023 and at Bethpage Black last September, will tee it up in the DP World Tour's flagship event from 17-20 September.
Their presence strengthens a field that already includes the first two Major champions of 2026, Rory McIlroy and Aaron Rai, as well as the last three BMW PGA Championship winners: Alex Noren, Billy Horschel and Ryan Fox.

Fleetwood returns to Wentworth fresh from another outstanding campaign. The Englishman made his fourth consecutive Ryder Cup appearance in 2025, helping Europe retain the trophy, while also claiming his eighth DP World Tour title at the DP World India Championship and securing a long-awaited maiden PGA Tour victory.
The reigning FedExCup champion will make his 15th consecutive appearance at the BMW PGA Championship this autumn.
“It’s always such a pleasure to play in front of your home fans, the reception is so warm at Wentworth and you can feel the support throughout the week. The BMW PGA Championship has always been an incredible event, and it’s a privilege to be preparing to tee it up for the 15th time.”
Åberg will make his third appearance at Wentworth as the Swedish star continues his rise among the game's elite. Since bursting onto the Ryder Cup stage as one of Luke Donald's captain's picks in 2023, the 26-year-old has become a two-time PGA Tour winner and established himself as a key member of Team Europe.
His memorable Ryder Cup debut included a record-breaking 9&7 foursomes victory alongside Viktor Hovland over World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka.
“I’m looking forward to getting back to the BMW PGA Championship this year. I always enjoy playing in Rolex Series events, and Wentworth has been a great experience for me, so I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun again this year.”
Straka will also return for a third BMW PGA Championship appearance after missing last year's tournament. The Austrian arrives as a four-time PGA Tour winner and one of Europe's most reliable performers, having played a key role in successive Ryder Cup triumphs.
The first Austrian to win on the PGA Tour finished tied 10th at Wentworth in 2023 alongside Åberg before making his Ryder Cup debut, where he formed a successful partnership with Shane Lowry.
“I wasn’t able to play in the BMW PGA Championship last year, so I’m looking forward to returning this season. It’s an event I’ve enjoyed adding to my schedule in recent years, and it’s always great to have another opportunity to tee it up with the Team Europe guys.”

Beyond the action on the course, the BMW PGA Championship continues to cement its reputation as a true Festival of Golf. More than 100,000 spectators are expected at Wentworth, where fans can enjoy the Celebrity Pro-Am, the Spectator Village and live entertainment on the Amazon Leo Live Stage.
British indie favourites The Kooks have already been announced as the Saturday headline act.
Organisers are encouraging fans to secure tickets early after record attendances in 2025, when general admission sold out across multiple days and hospitality packages were fully booked throughout the tournament week.
General Admission, Treetops presented by Buffalo Trace and Premium Experience tickets are now available.
