Ryan Fox up to 2nd in Rankings!

Ryan Fox might be out of the running for the tournament this week, but he is very much keeping his hopes alive of a high finish in the season-long DP World Tour Rankings.

The in-form New Zealander is -5 thru 13 holes in the final round and up into a tie for 13th on 6-under par.

At the moment, Fox is projected to finish second in the Rankings.

It would also bag him a ton of cash!

Check out the Bonus Pool money here

Unfortunately for Fox, the multiple scenarios that need to happen for him to topple McIlroy atop the Rankings are all-but over.

Still, what a season it's been for Fox.

Another birdie for Rahm, bogey for Rory!

Jon Rahm is off to a flying start here in the final round with birdies on his first two holes.

Rahm came up short with his approach shot from outside of 200 yards to the par-5 2nd but he got up and down with a miniumum of fuss for a second birdie in two holes.

He now finds himself at -17 and two shots clear of Alex Noren, who has birdied two of the first three holes.

Matt Fitzpatrick has opened with two pars and he joins Tyrrell Hatton in a tie for third on -14.

It's bad news for Rory McIlroy, though, as he drops his first shot of the day at the 3rd and the World No.1 is back to -13.

McIlroy flew the back of the green at the 3rd and could not get his ball up and down for par.

It marks the second day in a row that he has bogeyed the hole.

Hatton strop... in case you missed it!

Let's hope Hatton likes the pin posiitons today.

He wasn't a fan of the one at 17 yesterday.

FAST START FOR RAHM!

Jon Rahm is not messing about, either.

It's a birdie at the 1st from 12 feet for the Spaniard and he opens up a two-shot lead at the top of the leaderboard.

McIlroy has just rolled home another birdie from six feet at the par-5 2nd, too.

It's all hotting up right now!

Here's a quick leaderboard update:

-16 J Rahm (1)
-14 T Hatton (2)
-14 A Noren (2)
-14 R McIlroy (2)
-14 M Fitzpatrick (1)
-11 T Fleetwood (3)

Hatton on fire!

Hatton is off to a birdie-birdie start!

Some start for the fiery Englishman.

BIRDIE FOR RORY!

Rory McIlroy makes the best possible start by holing a superb 18-foot putt for birdie on the par-4 1st.

He's now up to -13 and just two shots behind Rahm, who is just heading down the 1st as we speak.

What a start for the World No.1!

07:53
Early birdie for Hatton!

It wasn't the day Hatton was after on Saturday with a 72, but the Englishman has raced out the blocks early on Sunday with a birdie-three at the par-4 1st.

Hatton moves to -13 and just two back!

Rory just about to tee off...

Here we go. Rory is off next.

Can he overturn a three-shot deficit on leader Rahm and take a third DP World Tour Championship?

Can he also hold on to the DP World Tour Rankings, which he is currently projected to win?

We'll certainly find out in the next four hours.

Today marks McIlroy's last round of 2022.

Rory will be hoping for more drives like this 380-yard beast yesterday.

Pure filth...
